Details:

This double bass stands as a testimonial to Vuillaume’s place as Europe’s most distinguished luthier of the 19th century. The original model was based upon Stradivari’s mature cello designs and the superb materials and varnish convey the impression that it was made for a very special occasion. The original three string head is now mounted with four fine British made tuning gears and ivory keys. As the favorite instrument of the late Charlie Haden, it is one of the most recorded double basses in modern musical history.
