Musical Instrument Warranty
Robertson & Sons Violin Shop, Incorporated (Robertson’s) guarantees that musical instruments purchased from Robertson’s are authentic as represented and free of defects in workmanship and materials for as long as the original buyer owns the instrument.
Weather cracks can occur if musical instruments are kept in extremely dry conditions. To avoid or minimize such cracking, instruments should be kept where a source of moisture is present to maintain a reasonable level of humidity (no lower than 40% relative humidity). This level may be maintained by using humidifiers where the instrument is kept or by using a humidifier directly in the instrument. If such cracking occurs even though the instrument is kept where a reasonable level of humidity has been maintained, as set forth above, then Robertson’s will repair the instrument, without charge, as long as the original buyer owns the instrument.

Instrument cases are warrantied by the manufacturer, and not by Robertson’s, for defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year after the date of purchase. Strings have no warranty because they can be broken easily by over tuning.

Robertson’s makes no other warranty, either expressed or implied, of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to musical instruments or other merchandise purchased from Robertson’s except as set forth in this warranty. THIS WARRANTY IS NON-TRANSFERABLE.
